“Behind every mask, there is a face with a story to be told. “ As we share “our” story this past year words such as; impact, perseverance, collaboration, celebration, passion, ingenuity, and support come to mind in describing the work of the Mt. Vernon Education Foundation.  Even during this pandemic in this ever-changing world, in spite of masks, social distancing, and, unmet needs the fundraising efforts of  Mt. Vernon Education Foundation have continued to grow and support our Mt. Vernon students and educators in meaningful and impactful ways that promote learning.

The Mt. Vernon Education Foundation is proud to introduce the “Black and Gold Gala” a signature fundraising event in supporting excellence in public education for every student, every day through grants, programs, and initiatives that directly benefit the Mt. Vernon School District. We hope you will join us on Saturday, April 17, 2021, at the Indianapolis Downtown Marriott as we engage the community’s spirit of generosity to ensure the continuation of a top-notch school district. We recognize that the Gala’s success plays an important role in meeting the MVEF mission of developing lifelong learners along with providing relevant real-world experiences for our students.

All proceeds will go to help enrich the educational experiences, programs, and initiatives of our students and teachers in the Mt. Vernon Community School District.
