Approximately 200 supporters enjoyed incredible food and fun with friends at the 2011 “Taste of Mt. Vernon” on Thursday, November 17th at Blu Falls Arts & Events Center in Pendleton. Fifteen restaurants showcased their best food for the community to savor.

The Mt. Vernon Education Foundation hosted nearly 200 supporters on Thursday, November 17th at the Blu Falls Arts & Events Center in Pendleton. Fifteen restaurants showcased their best fare at the evening event. The silent auction featured 89 different packages or offers that tempted bidders in a major way. The Cornerstone Award was presented by President Tony May to Jan Viehweg for her invaluable dedication and service to the MVEF. The Keystone Award was presented by Executive Director Maria Bond to Hancock Regional Hospital for their outstanding corporate support and commitment to MVEF. VP of Finance Rick Edwards accepted the award on behalf of Hancock Regional Hospital.
